The Best Golf Exercises
Aside from practicing a lot, one of the best ways to lower your score and just have more fun on the golf course is to be in good shape, and take the time to warm up before each round of golf.
Having a few pre round golf exercises that you can do in a few minutes before you tee it up, can really help you, particularly on the first couple of holes when your body is working hard to warm up. While there are plenty of great golf exercises that are available, it is important to listen to your body and focus on the exercises that work best for you and reduce the likelihood of injury. Remember if a particular golf stretch or exercise hurts, you probably should not do it. There’s nothing worse then ruining a day of golf by injuring yourself stretching on the practice range.
Ideally, you start with some light stretching and then hit a few balls with a wedge on the range. Once you build some heat in your body, you can work on deeper stretches and more targeted exercises to really loosen up and be ready to attack on number 1 – as opposed to easing into the first couple of holes and likely scoring higher as a result.
Here are a few examples of the best golf exercises and stretches for you to try the next time you head out for a round of golf.
